Accordionist Flemming Valmundsson and percussionist Tanel Eiko Novikov met at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, where they quickly became friends and recognised each other as artists. Their shared desire to push the boundaries of their main instruments and discover new possibilities for expression brought them together in an experimental duo project centered on the dialogue between the classical accordion and the marimba.

The repertoire takes the listener on a journey through different eras and styles. This musical journey has been like a never-ending treasure hunt for the duo – full of undiscovered colors and new possibilities that have hardly been offered to the accordion and marimba in the classical music tradition before.
